Connections Coordinator

(310) 376-6555, Ext 142    |    deegonzales@kingsharbor.org

DeLayne (Dee) grew up within a Christian family here in Torrance, CA. She has attended church from a young age, involved in camps and youth leadership. At the end of high school she joined Youth For Christ Campus Life. She moved north for college and joined the YFC staff in Fresno, discipling high school girls in Kerman, CA.

Dee always had a heart for missions so in 2004 she attended Perspectives Intensive class in Pasadena. Then began attending Mission Conferences to learn more about leading missions and creating teams. She led several teams to China, India, and Mexico.

In 2011, Dee began to attend KHC and jumped into serving Children’s Ministry as a teacher during the Saturday night service. In 2015 Dee came on staff as the International Mobilization Coordinator, then transitioned into her current role serving as Connections Coordinator.

As the Connections Coordinator, Dee communicates with and helps our new guests assimilate into our King’s Harbor Community. Every other month she hosts a luncheon for new guests to learn more about KHC, meet our staff and elders. Additionally, Dee oversees the volunteers who serve on Communion Set up and the Hospitality Teams who welcome our community and guests.

Her favorite part about her job is the people. Dee loves to spend time with people – listening and working together on projects; working with our families sent out into the field; seeing the different local community ministries that help and strengthen our people through prayer and outreach.

When not working, Dee enjoys traveling, meeting people, going to the beach, and reading. Dee currently lives in Lomita, CA.
