Intentional Interim Pastor(310) 376-6555, | firstname.lastname@example.org
Gregg and Linda join our church with the heart of pastors. Gregg serves on three ministry teams that have overlapping visions and values, and the distinctive call to pastor those to whom he is called. They feel that the best way to engage a church is with a shepherd's heart.
Relationships are at the core of who Gregg is. It is through relationships that Gregg first discovered the truth of Jesus Christ, in Costa Mesa during the Jesus Movement in the 1970s. During this time of searching for truth, he found himself in relationships with Christians who lived their lives with a depth and authenticity that intrigued him, eventually leading to his salvation in 1974. He and Linda met soon after and within a couple of years, they were being sent out to co-plant a church in Nevada. He served as Lead Pastor at two different churches over the next 16 years. He attended Fuller Seminary where he eventually earned his master’s degree in Leadership and Mission.
During his years as lead pastor, he had the opportunity to lead short-term mission trips, training and equipping leaders in Europe. He and Linda felt called to join a mission agency that reached out to English-speaking churches in the urban centers in Europe. This is where he first served as an interim preaching pastor. Through this time, he wrestled with the question of “how do we transition from one pastor to another in the most healthy way?” Upon recognizing a gifting and calling in this specific area, he pursued training to strengthen what he believed God was calling him to.
Since 1998, Gregg has been actively serving churches worldwide through their times of transition. He takes a relational approach to helping churches diagnose the root of their weaknesses and make the right adjustments that lead to revitalization and health.
Gregg and Linda live in Santa Barbara CA and have four adult children and 4 grandchildren.
