Jesus tells us that “in this life, you will have trouble.” When circumstances prove this statement to be true, we respond with trust, resilience, and courage. God calls us to trust His good and perfect will and look for opportunities to further His kingdom in the midst of obstacles.

Opportunities to Serve

Hear about the first phase of our efforts to serve those impacted by the fires throughout Los Angeles.

On Sundays after each service and Mondays and Thursdays from 9 am- 3pm, we will be receiving the following items:

  • Water
  • Sports drinks
  • Non-perishable food, especially individually wrapped snacks
  • Hygiene kits (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, a comb, and a wash cloth)

Other Opportunities

In addition to donating supplies, if you are available to help with a shift in the warehouse or to transport the supplies, we would love to have you. If you are unable to pick up supplies, but would like to financially support the relief efforts, select the Give to Convoy of Hope button below.

FAQs

What supplies are needed?

Right now, we are only collecting bottled water, sports drinks, non-perishable food, and hygiene kits. The needs may change and we will update the list as needed.

When and where are you receiving donations?

Our warehouse will be available to receive donations Sunday mornings around from 10:15-11 am and again from 12:00-1 pm.

We will open during the work week on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 am- 3pm.

Can I donate new or used clothes?

Not at this time. There may be a need for this soon, but we are not collecting those items just yet.

Are there any plans to serve those impacted by the fires directly?

Yes. The organization we are working alongside, Convoy of Hope, is already working on the next phase of support. Once the fires are more contained, they will identify a location where they can set up a distribution center with access to multiple effected communities.

At that time, they will need teams of volunteers to serve shifts at the center. We should be hearing back from them in the next few days.

Where are the supplies going?

The supplies we are collecting will be transported to the LA Dream Center. They have already housed over a 100 people and have served several thousand people with drive up distributions.

What if I have been displaced or know someone who have been displaced?

First and foremost, we are heartbroken for you or the person who you are trying to help. We would love to pray with you and support as best we can. Share a prayer request here and one of our team members will reach out to you.

Second, here is a short article that list various housing resources being made available: Housing resources and help for victims of the LA fires.

Again, we would are here for you and would love to help.

I am not able to serve or drop off supplies, but I would love to provide financial support. How can I do that?

You can donate through our partner, Convoy of Hope. Convoy is a faith-based organization who has been serving in U.S. and international disasters for the past 30 years.
